Hui E! and Ignite Consultants announce new partnership to support grassroots community groups in Wellington

Hui E! is delighted to announce a new collaborative partnership with Ignite Consultants. This will help us offer more support to small community groups in Te Whanganui-a-Tara | Wellington.

Over the past two years, Hui E! has supported more than 100 community groups across the motu with our Hoa Pūtea Moni | Grant Writing Support programme. Now through this new relationship with Ignite, we can extend that support to include project management and strategic planning.

Ignite will offer their 9-week programme of skills-based volunteering to up to 5 community groups. They will match groups of 8-9 tertiary students with individual community groups. The volunteers will be mentored by professional consultants throughout their placements. This mahi will contribute both additional skills for community groups, alongside practical experience to the tertiary students’ studies.

Ronja Ievers, Hui E!’s Kaiwhakahaere Kaupapa (Project Manager) says “We’re delighted to be offering this additional support to community groups wanting to build their resilience. Working with the Ignite team will help the groups develop their long-term capability and capacity and empower them to thrive.”

Hui E! and Ignite aim to see this initiative grow to reach more organisations in future years.

Grace Holden, Ignite Consultants Wellington CEO, is excited about the new partnership too. She says, “It was amazing to connect with Hui E!’s kaupapa and learn about the incredible impact they have on community groups and not-for-profits throughout Aotearoa. Ignite Consultants Wellington is really excited to support and maximise the impact of Pōneke-based community groups through this relationship.”
