Arotahi ā-Hapori | Community Focus: The ARK Collective – Act of Roskill Kindness

The ARK Collective is a shining example of a community that has banded together to support and empower one another. This not-for-profit group of passionate locals is based in the Wēteri (Wesley) School and dedicated to helping vulnerable whānau in the Wēteri, Puketāpapa area.

The group, also known as Acts of Roskill Kindness (ARK), was founded by the Global Hope Missions team, in partnership with local school principals at Wēteri Kura during the COVID pandemic. Their mission is to build a sustainable food hub and resource network that will serve as a lifeline for whānau in need. The ARK Collective was one of many organisations that stepped up during the recent flooding to provide essential support to their hapori (community). Their efforts were instrumental in meeting local needs. They are a true testament to the power of unity and hope in the face of adversity.

The group is driven by the joy of working together and witnessing the positive impact of their efforts, and they are always open to support from the wider community. Whether through volunteering, providing financial support, or simply sharing their page on social media, there are many ways to get involved and contribute.
