International Women’s Day Celebration in Wellington- He rā whakanui i ngā Wāhine o te ao ki Pōneke!

WWW4Peace.org.nz is organizing it’s 6th International Women’s Day Event in Wellington on March 8, 2017 with a Peace Walk at noon from the Beehive grounds to Civic Square. Wellington Mayor Justin Lester will be welcoming the marchers and Parihaka Ladies will be teaching a Maori song and Poi dance to celebrate the day.
We also invite you to see “Give me a Moment’s Peace” at Te Marae, Te Papa Museum at 4:00 PM for a new devise theatre performance by Voice Arts and the Wellington East Girls. The Peace Play captures the voices of culturally diverse young women as they explored their personal, local and global perspective of Peace. Several dignitaries will be giving a speech to celebrate International Women’s Day – Be Bold For Change Theme 2017.
